DIED.--On Thursday noon at his home in Nevada, Orlando Barnes, aged 81 years. Mr. Barnes was a native of Cattaraugus County, N. Y., where was raised. He came to Story County about 18 years ago and has made this his home ever since. Some years since he lost his wife who has since that time been awaiting his arrival beyond the gates. He leaves seven children of which number D. W. Barnes, Geo. M. Barnes and Mrs. Alberry are residents of Nevada. The funeral will be held to-day. He was a man of much firmness of character and correspondingly esteemed by those with whom he was best known though for several years past he has made his home with his children here and elsewhere.
