Mrs. Ole O. Roe, wife of the deputy auditor of state, died at her home 1117 East Court avenue, of consumption early yesterday morning after an illness of several months. As a consequence the state auditors office was closed yesterday and drape was suspended from the door. Mrs. Sarah Roe, nee Olson, was born in the city of Chicago on August 14, 1861, and had passed the thirty-second year of her life but a few days when death called her away at midnight last night. When she was quite young she removed with her parents to Story City, Io., where in August in 1879 she was married to Ole O. Roe at present deputy state auditor. Their union was blessed with four children, two girls and two boys. The girls are the oldest and the boys the youngest, the elder girl being 11 years old and the younger boy being but two years old. The deceased and her husband are devout members of the Evangelical church, having taken out their first membership at Nevada, Iowa, where they lived for nearly ten years. The remains will be taken to Story City on this mornings train over the Chicago and Northwestern, after brief services at the house. The body will be interred in the family plat at Story City cemetery.--Des Moines Leader 26th.
