Sunday, April 16th, a large concourse ot people gathered at the Johnson Grove church to pay the last tribute of respect to the memory of Mrs. Susan Chitty, who departed this life on April 15th, 1893. Thus ends life. Sister Chitty was consistent Christian, a loving mother and a devoted wife, having celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary but a short time before her death. Susan Johnson was born April 20, 1827, in Tennessee, moved with her parents in 1829 to Clark county, Indiana, and was married to Elias B. Chitty February 20, 1843. In the winter of 1846 she joined the M. E. Church, and was then taken in full membership in the fall of the same year. "And thou shalt be missed and thy place shll be vacant." A. M. ELLIOT, pastor.
