From Story County Watchman April 21, 1893

Word was received here yesterday that Seth Hadley, a former resident of Grant township, and well known in this community, had died in Michigan, and that his body would be sent to Nevada for burial. His daughter Mrs. Perry Chase, and Samuel Hadley, of Nebraska, arrived here Wednesday to attend the funeral, which was to have taken place yesterday, but on account of a delay in the train the body failed to arrive. The funeral will probably take place today.
