From Story County Watchman March 11, 1892

Mrs. John R. Stevens,* at Hiawatha, Kansas, on Saturday last. Mrs. Stevens is well known in Nevada being a daughter of Mrs. Pauline Pierce, a sister-in-law of Mrs. S. S. Statler and W. K. Smith, and sister-in-law of T. H. Stevens, and a sister of Frank Pierce.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Emma Pierce married John Boyd Stephens so this should read, "Mrs. John B. Stephens."
