From Story County Watchman December 27, 1889

DIED.--On Christmas day the death summons was announced to Mrs. McGuire who passed away from this life quietly and peacefully. She was well and favorably known by all in time of need, she lived to quite an old age and always bore her trials and troubles in this life with great patience. She leaves six grown up children to mourn her loss.

Weep not dear children, weep no more,
For she is roaming now with Angles,
On that bright and golden shore
Weep not dear children here below,
For she has gone where many go.
