From Story County Watchman July 5, 1889

Mrs. Hedge* is in Illinois having been called there by the death of her father. He was here last week visiting her and had been gone but a few days when she received a telegram that he was dead.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mrs. Hedge/Hedges is Ann Elizabeth Miller who married Stephen Douglas Hedges. Her father, David Miller, died in Ogle County, Illinois June 30, 1889.
