From Story County Watchman January 18, 1889

DIED--At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. D. S. Snyder, Monday morning Mrs. Grace Combes in the 85th year of her age. Mrs. C. was a native of England, and moved with her husband to Albany, N. Y., and afterwards to Gambier, Ohio, where Mr. C. died. She came to Nevada to live with her daughter in 1869 and remained with her. She was a consistent christian and died strong in her faith. She leaves two sons and three daughters. The funeral ws held Wednesday afternoon.
