DIED--At the residentce of J. A. Fitchpatrick in Nevada, on Saturday, Sept. 24th, 1887, Mrs. Maria Statler, aged 76 years, 4 months and 10 days. She was born in Dillsburg, Pa. In Stoystown, Pa., she married Johnathan Statler, and where her four children were born, and two of them buried. In 1858 the family moved to Nevada, which town her son Sam S. Statler had visited one year before. Here Johnathan Statler died in 1860 and the remaining daughter, Mrs. E. M. Ferner, later. For years past she has been an invalid, and has borne her afflictions with cheefulness and resignation, as one who could look with confidence to the better land, and with a consciousness of having done her duty here. The funeral exercises were held at the M. E. Church on Monday and were conducted by Elder Cozier. The attendance was large all of whom could testify as to the sterling qualities of the deceased.
