From Story County Watchman June 3, 1887

Thursday last Mrs. R. T. Sisson received a dispatch that her father was dangerously ill and started at once to his home in Mt. Pleasant. She arrived there one hour after his decease. His name was A. Beeson. He has resided in that locality for a number of years and was respected by all with whom he had dealings.
