Mr. Chapman was born in Livingston County, New York November 11, 1825. He was next to the youngest child by the second wife of Edward Chapman whose life dated from 1760. Thus the country has lost another patriot, the family a good husband and father and the community another of her honored citizens. The community unites in sympathy with the family in their bereavement.
