Diptheria has found its way into the homes of our farmers. One and all should be compelled to remain at home, where it is in the family.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Birch lost their little daughter Mable on Thursday last of diptheria. Three others are very low but hopes of recovery.

Further down in the same column:

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Birch, of McCallsburg, have lost two children since Thursday of last week, of diptheria. Mable, age 6 years and Georgie 8. Three more are dangerously ill and the Dr. has given them up.
