Mrs. Sarah Henryson was born in Fjeldberg Prestegaeld, Norway, December 2nd, 1836. In 1857, at the age of twenty-one, she emigrated to America and located in Illinois, where she resided for five years. In 1862 she came to Iowa, and located in Hamilton County.

In 1863 she was united in marriage to Lars Henryson, who died in 1896. To this union two daughters and five sons were born, all of whom survive the deceased, viz: Martin L. Henderson of Randall, Michas Henderson of Jewell, Annas M. Henderson of Story City, Alex Henderson of Story City, Mrs. Anna Williams of Story City, Ole J. Henderson of Webster City and Mrs. Maggie Sowers of Randall.

In 1893, three years preceding Mr. Henryson's death, they moved from their farm in Scott Twp. into Randall, where their home was maintained until 1917 when Mrs. Henryson moved to Story City.

From her early pioneer days until she moved to Randall she was a member of the St. Petri church of Story City, and since then she has been a member of Elim's Congregation of Randall.

With other minor afflictions, she has been blind for nearly twenty years, during which time she has been cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Anna Williams, who has been faithful to her, and so far as possible has patiently shared her afflictions with her.

Besides the two daughters and five sons, eighteen grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren survive her.

She died April 29th, 1919, at the age of 82 yers, 4 months and 17 days.
