KILLED.--On Saturday evening last a number of young men living on East Indian attended the camp meeting at the Fair Grounds and at the close of the meeting started for home. Two of them James Gough, aged about seventeen, and Farrington by some meanw were some distance ahead of the others and when near the creek sit down upon the railroad track to wait for the others to come up. While thus waiting both fell asleep and a train came thundering along. Farrington was awakened just in time to roll out of the way, but young Gough was caught by the cars and the train passed over his body cutting it in two in the middle, and scattering the fragrants. The shoulders, and head were frightfully mangled. The other boys soon came up and the only thing that could be done was attended to. The body was buried in the cemetery. We understand the Coroners jury censured the railroad because of the accident but upon what grounds we are not advised. Mr. Gaugh was a young man of promise and his untimely decease is greatly regretted by all who knew him, and each and all extend their sympathy to the parents in their loss.

On last Sabbath afternoon Rev. R. A. Ferguson, preached the funeral of James A. Gough, who was killed sometime ago on the railroad, to a large congregation at the Hickory Grove school house near the residence of the Gaugh family.
