From Story County Watchman February 29, 1884

On Wednesday evening Mr. Dougherty received a dispatch from Denver stating that his son-in-law, Charles E. Goldsberry had just died of consumption. Mr. Goldsberry was a resident of Iowa Center, and for years a member of the firm of Goldsberry & Applegate, Maxwell. All are grieved to learn of his sudden demise, and will tender heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved widow and orphans.
