LAST RITES HELD FOR BURL MATHEWS

Burl Clarke Mathews, son of William R. and Rosa Pizer Mathews, was born Aug 19, 1909 at Nevada, Iowa. He died in his sleep June 26, 1963 at the home of his brother in Ames.

Mr. Mathews lived his entire life in Story County engaged in farming until the past five years during which he has been employed at the H. L. Munn Lumber Co. In Ames.

Both parents, a sister and a brother also preceded him in death. The immediate survivors are a brother, William J. and a sister, Rhoby Matters, both of Ames and their families. A nephew, Robert Mathews, of Nevada also survives.

Final rites were held June 29, at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell with burial at the Greenwood Cemetery in Iowa Center. REv. Charles Lehman was in charge of the service.
