FUNERAL OF MRS. HALLEY WAS HELD FROM DRYBREAD HOME YESTERDAY.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Rosina Ruffley-Halley, whose death in Oregon was mentioned in Monday's evening Journal, was held yesterday morning from the Drybread home on First avenue south and Interment was in the Nevada cemetery. Death occurred at the home of her younger daughter, Mrs. Bernice Forest at Bend, Oregon and the body was accompanied to this city by her daughter, andher only son Will Ruffley, who lives at Pendleton, Oregon. Here they were met by their sister, Mrs. H. P. Dudley of Indianola, and many friends. The funeral services were conducted by the son-in-law Rev. H. P. Dudley

Mrs. Halley was born in Switzerland in 1849. She grew to womanhood there and met her first husband, Emill Ruffley. He came to America first, located in Nevada, established himself in business and a short time later was joined here by her and they were married in Boone in 1858. Two children were born to them, Bertha and Will. The husband and father was killed in a hunting accident when both were small.

Later she married Wilson Halley, and to them a daughter was born, Bernice Halley. Mrs. Halley left here about a dozen years ago and went to Indianola, where she made her home for a time with her daughter, Mrs. Dudley. After the two other children moved to the west, she went there and has spent much of the time with them.

Mrs. Halley was well known to the people of a generation ago in Nevada. The family home was across the street west of where the new high school building is now being constructed. She was a woman of much worth and of many admirable qualities. She reared her children well and her death is deeply grieved by them.
