After Leon became Postmaster of Nevada in 1963, the two moved their family into town where Mary Ann worked at Donnelly’s Marketing for seventeen years. During their retirement, Leona and Mary Ann enjoyed traveling, attending any and all Iowa State athletic events, and caring for their seven young grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Mark (Diana) Wilson, Diane (Mike) Dawson, and Steve (Rosemary) Wilson, all of Nevada; her seven grandchildren, Erin and Nicole Wilson, William (Erika) Dawson, Ben (Molly) Long of Des Moines and Tom and Kathryn Wilson; four great-grandchildren, Nick, Maria and Anna Long and Edith Dawson; her youngest brother, Jim (Helen) Sandor of Lodi, California; and many nephews and nieces; Marilyn Wilson of Kelly, Wayne (Jan) Wilson of Ames, Ralph (Ardie) Wilson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ruth (Wes) Schonhorst of Slater, Vera Shriener of Council Bluffs, Carol (Robert) Alleman, of Ankeny, and Jim (Betsy) Wilson of Pasadena, California.
