Mrs. Elliott, 61, Is Found Dead In Bed Sunday
Mrs. Emma Elliott, 61, cook at the Alpha Chi Rho fraternity house at 308 Welch avenue for the past seven years, was found dead in her bed Sunday morning. It was believed that she had died of a heart disease sometime during the night.
The body was not discovered until late Sunday morning, as breakfast is not served at the house on Sunday.
Mrs. Elliott's body was taken to Maxwell, her former home, Sunday, and plans were being made to hold funeral services there from the Presbyterian church Tuesday. Burial will be in the Maxwell cemetery.
She was born in Champaign, Ill., and had resided at Cambridge and Maxwell before moving to Ames seven y ears ago. William T. Elliott, her husband, died at Maxwell 16 years ago.
Surviving her are one son, Raymond of Des Moines; two nieces, Clara Elliott of Ames, and Mrs. Flossie Osting of Napier, and a brother-in-law, T. B. Elliott of Ames.
