MRS W. F. MCCARTHY FATHER SUCCUMBS

Mrs. W. F. McCarthy, 304 Russell avenue, received word Tuesday of the death of her father, Hon. R. M. Peet, 80, pioneer resident of Anamosa.

A staunch democrat, Mr. Peet had represented his party in the 30th and 31st general assemblies and for many years served on the board of supervisors in Jones county.

He is survived by his widow, six daughters, two sons and nine grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. McCarthy will go to Anamosa Wednesday to attend the funeral service which will be held that day at 2 p. m. in the Peet home.
