MRS. MARONEY RITES TO BE HELD HERE SATURDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Katie Curtiss Maroney, 67, a resident of Ames for 40 years who died Monday at her home in Long Beach, Cal., will be held at 10 a. m., Saturday morning frmo St. Cecelia's Catholic church. The Rev. F. M. Mulcahy will be in charge of the services.

The body will lie in state at Duckworth's Funeral home from 8:30 to 9:30 a. m. Saturday and following the services will be taken to Nevada for burial.

Mrs. Maroney was born in Illinois and came to a farm near Ames at an early age. Her husband died 14 years ago and she moved to California about 10 years ago.

Surviving her are five daughters, Mrs. Mae Kinnick, Mrs. Josephine Mathews, Mrs. Sarah Jane Hill and Mildred, all of Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. France White of Orange Cal. Two brothers, James and Joseph Curtiss of Nevada, also survive.
