His decline has been gradual and sure, and although his death was hardly expected as soon as it came, it was not wholly unexpected.

Besides his children he leaves fifty grand children and four great grand children and numerous other relatives and friends to mourn his death.Forty years to the day of his funeral, he came to Nevada from Norway and settled on a place one mile south of town, where he lived until 1881 when he moved unto a farm that he bought southeast of town, now owned by N. T. Wicks, where he lived until twelve years ago when he moved to town, making his home with his son, E. P. Jondall. His wife died April 10, 1894. Besides being a farmer he also was a carpenter and worked at the trade a large part of the time.
