Ola B. Brown 94, of Story City passed away May 28, 2010 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Memorial services will be Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City. Inurnment will be at Palestine Cemetery near Huxley.

Ola was born January 3, 1916 to Charles and Ann (Tesdall) Reinertson near Huxley. She graduated from Huxley High School in 1933. Shortly after high school Ola married her first husband and moved to California. To this union was born a son. Ola later returned to Iowa settling in Des Moines.

Ola married Mel Brown in 1974. She worked at Younkers for 27 years. After retirement they bought a home in Bullhead City, Arizona. They spent winters in the sunshine for many years. Ola loved to travel, one of her greatest pleasures was visiting Scandinavia countries and she also loved flowers. They moved to Ames in the mid-nineties, to Cedar Place in Story City in 2005, Bethany Manor in 2008.

Ola is survived by one sister, Charlotte Lundy of Bullhead City, Arizona; a step-son, Ron (Ardith) Brown of Ankeny; a step-daughter, Janet Peterson of Story City; nine step-grandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mel and son Robert.
