OLIVER IVERSON DIED
Oliver Iverson one of the older residents of the community, died at his home about 11:30 o'clock last evening. He had been in ill health for several years with heart trouble. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the resident and at 2:00 o'clock in Bergen church.

OLIVER IVERSON FUNERAL HELD
HAD LIVED IN THIS COMMUNITY FOR OVER SIXTY-EIGHT YEARS
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Oliver Iverson at the home and at Bergen Lutheran church, Rev. M. O. Sumstad officiating. Interment was made in the Roland cemetery. Musical numbers were a duet by Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Boyd at the house service, and a quartet number by Misses Betty Britson, Florence Jacobson, Lenore Osheim and Myrtie Anderson, and another duet by Mr. and Mrs. Boyd at the church. Pall bearers were Dr. J. A. Snyder, O. S. Boyd, M. O. Anderson, K. P. Teig, W. A. Cunningham and John T. Johnson.
Oliver Iverson was born in Kvinherred, Norway, October 8, 1853, and died February 6, 1934, at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 28 days.
In 1861, at the age of seven years, he immigrated to America, coming with his parents to Clinton, Iowa. In 1866 the family moved to Howard township where he lived the rest of his life, a period of 68 years. He was engaged in farming the home place, first in partnership with his brother-in-law, Tom Sandvold, and after the death of Mr. Sandvold in 1902, he continued the partnership with his sister, Mrs. Sandvold. They moved to town in 1910 and returned to the farm in the fall of 1919 and lived there three years, when they again moved to Roland where they have since resided.
He had seven brothers and sisters, four of whom died in infancy. A sister, Mrs. Ole Hegland, died in 1913, and a brother, Andrew, died in 1920. He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Carrie Sandvold, three nieces and five nephews, among them being Juel Sandvold, who lived with his uncle since he was a child.
Among those in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Sampson and son Rex, Mrs. John Sampson of Garden City; Nels and Archie Richardson and Mrs. Fjelland of Kelley, and Mrs. Mary Iverson, C. T. Iverson and Floyd Iverson of Grinnell.
