THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, May 6, 2010.

Lenora Sayre, 90, of Madrid, formerly of Slater, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the Madrid Home. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday May 7, at the Slater United Methodist Church. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at Slater United Methodist Church. Interment is in the Slater City Cemetery.

Lenora was born March 20, 1920 in Colo to Vern and Pearl (Hormel) Dolph. She grew up in Maxwell and Cambridge. She married Melvin Larson and eight children were born to this union. Lenora and her family moved to Slater in 1950.

Lenora is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Bruce) Cairns, Duane (Janet) Larson, Larry (Sandy) Larson, Jene (Chris) Paulsen, Pat (Dale) Dyvig, Phil (Jo Linda) Larson, and Steve (Louella) Larson; two sisters, Betty Olgle and Ila Ersland; brother, Lester Dolph; sister-in-law, Marvel Dolph; 24 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and eleven great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Melvin Larson, Linn Trimble and Elmer Sayre; and son, Carroll.

Soderstrum Riis Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
