Mrs. Jeremiah Olson was born in Mission township, La Salle County, Illinois, of the parents Mr. and Mrs. Osmund Danielson. She lived with her parents in Ill. until Feb 22, 1863, when she was untied in marriage to Mr. Olson. After spending two years more in Ill., they came to Story County, Iowa in 1865, settling on a farm three miles southwest of this city where they lived until a few years ago, when they moved to Roland and lived only a short time and then returned to their farm, but of late have been living at Randall.

About four weeks ago she contracted pneumonia which developed into heart trouble, and she steadily grew worse until the end came on July 6th, 1910.

Mrs. Olson was a quiet, refined woman who was loved and respected by all that knew her. The deceased leaves a husband, who is at present touring Norway, having gone shortly before Mrs. Olson was taken sick, and six children, who were all present at the funeral. They are Osmund of N. D., Edward of near Lake Okoboji, and Josiah of near this place, Mrs. Julia Sigmund of this place and Mrs. G. O. Paulsrude and Mrs. Martin Anderson, of Randall besides seventeen grandchildren.

The funeral was held from the Salem church on July 10th, 1910, Rev. Sandven officiating and the remains laid to rest in the Roland cemetery.

The sorrowing ones have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in the hour of sorrow.
