A telegram conveying the sad message that Mrs. Rev. L. J. Odland, of Clarke, S. D. had passed away on Friday reached the L. Schlanbusch home last Saturday. Mrs. Odland is a sister of Mrs. L. Schlanbusch and was here on a visit last August, and the first intimation that she had been sick was when they received the terrible news that she was dead. Her maiden name was Clara Quam and will be remembered by many as having taught in the Roland schools about twelve years ago.
Mrs. L. Schlanbusch left Monday morning to attend the funeral which occurred Tuesday. The sorrowing ones have the sympathy of a large circle of friends here.
