Death Suddenly Calls Another

Henry Erickson Succumbs After a Short Illness from Heart Trouble

Another death shocked our people last Monday morning when it was learned that Henry Erickson was dead, having passed away at 5:30 that morning, after a serious illness of only a day. He had been suffering from heart trouble for several months but only his wife was aware of his condition. On Saturday he was in town attending to his business matters but the next morning he was taken violently sick and Dr. Rice, of this place, and Dr. Smith of Nevada were called in consultation but there seemed to be no hope for him, and on Monday morning he passed away.

Nils Henry Erickson was born on the old Erickson homestead on January 31, 1879 and was 29 years, 8 months and 26 days old when called to the great Beyond. He was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Amond Erickson.

Last spring he was married to Miss Jane Christian to which union a little boy was born a month ago. Besides his young wife and son and parents he leaves five brothers, Edward, Brit, Maynard Oscar and Elmer and three sisters, Mrs. T. A. Heriem, May and Grace and numerous friends and relatives to mourn his untimely death.

He was at present living at the parental home, but was just preparing to move to a farm six miles southwest of town.

The funeral took place from Bergen church, Tuesday, Rev. G. Smedal officiating. A vast crowd of friends were present to pay their last tribute to the departed. Interment took place in the Roland cemetery.

The bereaved ones will be accorded the sincere sympathy of a host of friends and relatives in the hour of their sorrow.
