THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

Robert Wayne Crawford, 68, of Winthrop, entered into his eternal rest Friday, March 26, 2010, at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence after a courageous battle with leukemia. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Winthrop. Interment with military rites will be at in St. Mary of Mount Carmel Cemetery at Eagle Center.

Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, and until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at Fawcett Funeral Home, 254 Jackson St., in Winthrop. A rosary will be said at 2 p.m. and scripture service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at Fawcett Funeral Home.

He is survived by 11 brothers, John (Kathy), Dan (Ruth), Ron (Dianne), and Larry (Sarah), all of Independence, Russell, of Exira, Pete (Jolene), of Red Oak, Kenny (Lila), of Vail, Terry (Connie), of Denison, Mike (Page) and Steve (Audrey), both of Nevada, and Dennis (Renny), of Grinnell; five sisters, Mary (Mario) Compean, of San Antonio, Jane (Bill) Falkers, of Genoa, Wis.,Rose (Jeff) Grover and Margaret (Lyle) Hosch, both of Independence, and Patricia (Mike) Buscher, of Mundelein, Ill.; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
