BELLE QUAM

Funeral services for Miss Belle Quam were held November 28 in Story City, in Immanuel church, with Rev. Heimarck officiating. She passed away November 24, after a lingering illness.

Miss Bell Quam was born on May 30, 1884, at Dale in Brudvik, Norway. She was the oldest daughter of Segrid and Samuel Quam. She came to this country 27 years ago.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Wm. Tolbertson of Story City, and a brother, Nels Quam of Minneapolis; also her stepmother, Mrs. Elise Quam, and a half brother and sister, Ben and Hilborg Quam in Norway; an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Stole of Ames, and two nieces, Mrs. Elmer Backstrom of Des Moines and Mrs. Edward Rosenkrants of Minneapolis.

Pallbearers were Arne Travase of Story City, John Wierson of Ames, Anton Hougen, Anton Hillestad, Sigvald Olson and Sam Sather all of Des Moines. A number of friends from Roland attended the funeral.
