Allison Lee Black, 32, of Loveland, Colo., went to be with God at home Tuesday, March 2, 2010, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Allison was born Aug. 21, 1977, in Ames, to Patti Allison, of Loveland, and Dan Olinger, of Ames. Allison’s incredible strength, positive attitude and love of life were admired by everyone she met. She had an infectious smile, and her laughter would warm your heart. Allison received her CNA degree and bachelor’s degree in business management. She was a medical assistant, X-ray tech and supervisor at Johnstown Family Physicians in Johnstown, Colo.
On July 26, 2008, Allison married James Black.
She will be missed by her parents, Patti Allison, of Loveland, Colo., and Dan Olinger, of Ames; her loving husband, James; her son, Cameron; twin sister, Amy (DJ) Lang and nieces, Krystina, Alexsus and Danielle; brother, Bill Olinger and nieces, Makayla and Leeah; and sister-in-law, Heather Black and niece Torie, all of Loveland; mother and father-in-law, Jann and Jim Black, of Centennial, Colo.; grandparents, Bill and Marlene Allison, of Wheatland, Wyo., and Wayne and the late Helen Olinger, of Nevada; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 6, at First Christian Church in Loveland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allison L. Black Memorial Fund in care of Wells Fargo Bank.
