Died.

Mrs. Harriet Pasen, of Cambridge, Story county, April 15, 1879.

This very estimable christian lady, after a lingering illness passed away in great peace to her eternal rest. A large concourse assembled at the funeral, thereby attesting their esteem for the deceased, and their sympathy for the bereaved. The composure and quiet with which this good woman died, furnished a marked evidence of the sustaining power of divine grace, and also a forcible illustration of that scripture written in Paul's letter to the Corinthians: "Oh! death where is thy sting? O! grave where is thy victory? thanks be unto God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
