Rease C. Wax

Funeral services for Rease C. Wax were held Tuesday, April 22 at St. Patrick's with Father Franz Lohberg officiating.

Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. Lester Meimann and Mrs. Lawrence Doser at the organ.

Active casket bearers were grand-nephews, Robert Carney, Jr., Eugene Oxley, Kim Williams, and Gene Roney.

Honorary casket bearers were Greg Thompson, David Vansice, Leonard Bishop and Steve Twedt, also grand-nephews.

A native of Story County, Rease was born February 28th, 1906 near Colo to Clarence G. and Olive Wax.

He was married August 14th, 1937 to Ann Roney of Nevada. His earlier life was spent farming, trucking for Akron Motor Cargo Co. and for Bekins Van and Storage Co. of Pasadena, Calif. He farmed for ten years and spent retirement in Arizona and Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife Ann, sisters Emma Bloomberg of rural Ames; Ella Halsted of Hubbard and brother Henry Wax of Zearing, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
