ED ADAMS

Ed Adams, retired carpenter, and for many years a familiar figure on the streets of Ames, was found dead in bed Wednesday by Grant Smith, who had called on him to go on a fishing expedition, the deceased's favorite sport since his retirement from carpentry ten years ago.

Mr. Adams was 84 years old. His wife, preceded him in death six years ago, and he is survived by three sons, Dwight of Nashville, Tenn., Percy of Seattle, Wash., and Harley of Oakland, Calif. A brother, Charles of Miller, S.D., also survives him.

He was a genuine favorite all up and down the street. He liked to visit and enjoyed going with the fire boys when they went on fishing trips and with others, who always enjoyed having him go along, as he was very active for a man of his age. He will be greatly missed by all who know this geniol whole-hearted gentleman.
