THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Kay H. Silet, 70, died peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, surrounded by her family after enduring a long illness with dignity and grace. A memorial service will be later this spring or early summer.

Kay was born Oct. 3, 1939, in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Samuel R. Zickefoose and Helen M. Johnson Zickefoose.

She is survived by her husband, Loring; her children, Kristin, Scott, Karin and Emily; and two grandsons, Will and Harry.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up in her name at Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames
