THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

Donapearl Jeffrey, 92, of Charles City and formerly of Ames, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, at Charles City Medical Center. A graveside service will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Donapearl was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Ames, to Charles and Zoe Dixson. She graduated from Ames High School in 1936.

On July 15, 1941, she married George Stewart Jeffrey. They had three sons, Jim (Diane), of Cedar Falls, Robert (Meg), of Fort Collins, Colo., and Steve (Shelly), of Charles City. Donapearl was employed in Ames for a number of years by Trow Milk Distributors and Vending.

Those left with their cherished memories of Donapearl are her three sons and daughters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Ames High School Alumni Association.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
