Clara Evelyn (Odin) Davis, 99, of Ames, died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Boone. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the service time.

Clara Davis was born June 9, 1910 in Boxholm, IA to Carl Oscar and Emma Christina (Peterson) Odin. She married Leslie Albert Davis on December 31, 1928 in Coucil Bluffs.

She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Elaine Jondallof Ames and Collett Ann Williams of Boone; one brother, LaVerne Odin of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant daughter, Nadine; three daughters, Beverly Jean Coleman, Deloris Silverthorn, and Jacqueline Emma Ray; one son, Merlin Leslie Davis; one grandson, Allen Williams; one granddaughter, Rhonda Ray; one great grandson, B.J. Lockrem; two brothers; and four sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
