THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, December 3, 2009.

Ralph Leroy Kinyon, age 78, departed this world on Oct. 31, 2009, at CMH Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Mo. Ralph was born May 6, 1931 in Cambridge, Iowa, to the late Wayne and Geneva (Wood) Kinyon.

On June 3, 1951, he married the love of his life, Jean Marie Smith. They were married for 55 wonderful years. To this union two sons and two daughters were born. Ralph enjoyed family, NASCAR, fishing, woodworking and watching old westerns on TV.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Kinyon and his wife Debbie of Edwards, Mo., and Mitchell Kinyon of Bolivar, Mo.; two daughters, Cherie Kinyon of Houston, Mo., and Debbie Corder of Fair Play, Mo.; three brothers, Varney Kinyon of Boone, Iowa, Larry Kinyon of North Carolina and Leo Kinyon of Ames, Iowa; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his wife and one infant sister, Sharon.

Memorial services for Mr. Kinyon were held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Fox Funeral Home with Dr. James Miller officiating.
