Nancy Mae Roney, 55, of Story City, passed away November 10, 2009 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. There will be a graveside service on Friday, November 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Nancy Mae Roney was born March 24, 1954 to Alvin Dale and Mary Isabelle (McPhee) Roney in Story City, Iowa. Nancy was baptized at Bethel Lutheran Church. She was married to Rick Monson and lived most of her life in the Story City area. Nancy was a clerk at the Country Side Fruit Market just outside of Story City. She enjoyed reading her Bible and being around her family.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Rick Monson of Story City; her father Alvin and step-mother Linda Roney of Rogers, Arkansas; two sons, Michael Roney of Garfield, Arkansas, and Aaron Vetter of Ames; five brothers, Jim Roney of Rogers, Arkansas, Reed Roney of St. Louis, Missouri, Dale Roney, Jr. of Story City, Jerry Roney of Kelley, Iowa, and Frank Roney of Rogers, Arkansas; a step-brother Bobby Price of Rogers, Arkansas; and a step-sister Shannon Price of Fort Smith, Arkansas; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and a great-nephew Emidio.
