THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, November 18, 2009.

Patricia Leeann Wells, 47, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 at her home in rural Nevada. A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Patricia Leeann Horn was born Nov. 23, 1961, in Story County to Lawarence and Billie Marie (Gardner) Horn. Trish grew up in Maxwell, attending Maxwell schools. She lived in Des Moines for 17 years where she worked for Communication Data Services. She moved to Ames and was an assistant manager at B-Bops restaurant. She was transferred to a Cedar Rapids store where she worked for a time. She then moved to Nevada where she resided the past seven years. She loved gardening, playing pool, and making candles. She also collected Betty Boop memorabilia.

She is survived by her special friend, Monte Whetstone, of rural Nevada; one son, Dustin Lee Wells, and one daughter, Tricia Ann Wells, both of Des Moines; one sister, Theresa (Joe) Sawitsky; and two nephews, Joshua and Alec.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is assisting with arrangements.
