OBITUARY...

Charles W. Sowers, third child of George W. and Margaret Sowers, was born in Story county, Iowa, July 4, 1863.

He died in Grand Junction, Col., Oct. 1, 1945, at the age of 82 years, two months and 26 days.

He spent his early boyhood years in Story County living on a farm near the Pleasant Grove church.

In March, 1886, he was united in marriage to Lemmeta Kooser. To this union was born one son, Donald.

In 1912, he with his family move to Hereford, Tex., where he operated a large ranch.

In 1918, his wife Lemmetta passed away and was brought to Nevada for burial.

From Hereford, he moved to Grand Junction where he made his home with his son.

Mr. Sowers will be brought to Nevada and laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery by the side of his wife.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his brother Elmer E. Sowers of Ames, his son, Donald and family of Grand Junction, Col., and a host of relatives and friends.

The deceased is an uncle of Mrs. E. G. Carey, Ames, Mrs. H. L. Boyes, Nevada, and Geo. R. Sowers of Story City.

The body will arrive in Nevada at 12:35 p.m. on Thursday and will be at Ryan Funeral home.

Services at the graveside in the Nevada cemetery will be held on Fri. p.m. at 2:30. Rev. O. E. Cooley, of the Nevada Methodist church, in charge.
