THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, October 15, 2009.

Francis William Bradshaw, 86, of Ames, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Francis was born April 28, 1923, in Ames, to William and Bernice (Miller) Bradshaw. He married Marie Carolyn Overland Sept. 18, 1949. He was a farmer and enjoyed raising cattle. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Bruce, of Clive; and four grandchildren, Kathryn, Clark, Rebecca and Lisa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie in 1979; one brother, Bernis in 1994; and one sister, Jean.

Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
