Aunt Julia Lowe, a much respected citizen, and mother of Messrs A. and W. W. Chandler, died at the residence of the latter, on the 1st day of July. She was one of the pioneers of Story county, and if we are not mistaken, her husband built about the first house in Cambridge, on the bank of the river near where the N. W. Hotel now stands.
