THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, September 29, 2009.

On Sept. 27, 2009, heaven became a little sweeter because of our angel, June Marie Mosiman. A celebration of June’s life will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Belmond United Methodist Church, 1031 First St. S.E., in Belmond.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Andrews Funeral Home, 516 First St. S.E, in Belmond, and continue to receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

June was born Feb. 5, 1927, to Nysco and Fannie (Pals) Boelman. Her early years were spent living in Belmond. She graduated from Belmond High School in 1944.

Following graduation, she attended Thompson Beauty School in Des Moines. She became a beloved beautician to many for 42 years.

Being on the golf course was the highlight of many of her days. If not on the golf course, she enjoyed winters in Texas, traveling with Cec, and her days with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Later she became the endeared “June Bug” at Belmond Rehabilitation Center, where she was dearly loved and she loved the staff that provided a great dignity to the last part of her journey.

Her husband, Cec (Eugene), and one daughter and two sons, whom she was very proud of, survive June: Phyllis (Jerry) Stadtlander, of Waukee, Dan (Mary) Mosiman, of Ames, and Jeff (Kim) Mosiman, of Ames. It gave her great joy to share her love with grandchildren, Jody (Brandon), BJ (Allison), Kathryn, Madelyn, Lauren, Hillary, Zach and Sam, and her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brady, Sydney, Ryder and Brooklyn. She also is survived by one brother, Roger (Lucille) Boelman, of Belmond, and one sister-in-law, Janet Boelman, of Belmond.

She was preceded in death by one son, Brian, whom lived in her heart forever; her parents; one sister, Minnie Pals; and one brother, Jake Boelman.

The family suggests those wishing to make a contribution through a memorial in June’s name consider the Belmond-Klemme Schools, Belmond Medical Center or a charity of their choice.

She knew no strangers and was a friend to all.

Andrews Funeral Home of Belmond, phone (641) 444-4474, is in charge of arrangements.
