THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, September 27, 2009.

Evelyn L. Webb, 89, of Ames died Sept 26, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Sept 29, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Evelyn was born April 2, 1920, in Fort Thomas, Ky. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and Garfield Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Washington, DC. She was a flight nurse during World War II.

She married E.G. (Ozzie) Sharshaug on Sep 29, 1945. He died in 1980. She married Howard Webb on August 22, 1987. He died March 11, 2005. She is survived by several nieces.

She is survived by her stepchildren, Ann Webb, Mary Webb and Mike (Sherry) Webb; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and one son, Arne Jon Skarshaug in 1990.
