THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, September 18, 2009.

John R. Milnes, 89, of Sumner, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; three sons; one daughter; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Local survivors include his daughter, Barb (Bill) Holt; one grandson, Erik Holt; two granddaughters, Kari (Dave) Weaver and Kirstin (Khyle) Clute; and one great-granddaughter, Ildri Weaver.
