Dennis Kroeger, 49, of Ames, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 13, and the service Monday, Sept. 14, both at First United Methodist Church in Ames. Adams Funeral Home and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dennis “Denny” Allen Kroeger, 49, of Ames, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at First United Methodist Church in Ames, with Pastor Fred Lewis officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at First United Methodist Church.

Denny was born Dec. 25, 1959, in Marshalltown, to Earl and Imogene (Trantham) Kroeger. He graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1978, Luther College in 1982, and Drake University in 1984 with a master’s in public administration. He was a motor carrier safety specialist.

On April 19, 1985, he married Elizabeth Orcutt in Story City. He enjoyed boating and was a Chicago Cubs fan.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, of Ames; two daughters, Megan and Allison, of Ames; and one brother, David Kroeger, of St. Cloud, Minn.

His parents preceded him in death.

Adams Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting with arrangements.
