Richard Allen Chelsvig

Richard Allen Chelsvig, 21, St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of Story City, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 1983 at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo., following a one-car accident when Chelsvig's car hit a patch of ice and rolled over an embankment.

Mr. Chelsvig was employed as an auto mechanic in St. Joseph since his graduation from Des Moines Area Community College in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Janet, who suffered a broken back and was hospitalized at Liberty Hospital; his mother, Mrs. Dale (Irene)Chelsvig, Story City; two brothers, Michael, Booneville, and Rick, Story City; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Patty) Van Patter, Mrs. Tim (Judy) Watson and Mrs. Larry (Cindy) Osmundson, all of Story City; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 1:30 p.m. from St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City. The Rev. Rolfe Johnstad and Perry Sampson will be in charge. Burial will be at the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
