Benjamin J. See died Sunday following a stroke
Benjamin J. See, 69, died Sunday morning at the Story County Hospital in Nevada where he had been a patient for the past week after suffering a stroke. He was a resident of the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Zearing.
Born Oct. 15, 1906 in Sterling, Colo. to Ole and Katherine See, he had been a resident of Story County almost his entire life and was a retired farmer at the time of his death.
Services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memory Gardens near Nevada.
Survivors include two sons, Ernie of Nevada and Charles of Des Moines; one daughter, Mrs. Eva (Royal) Spencer of Nevada; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild and four sisters: Mrs. Mary Gardner of Maxwell, Mrs. Ida Banks of McCallsburg, Mrs. Sara Smith of Nevada and Mrs. Ethel Ball of Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
