THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

Mary A. Hermanson, 94, of Story City, died Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at St. Petri Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Bethany Manor in Story City.

Mary was born June 15, 1914, in Dubuque, to Leighton and Cora Lea (Taylor) Terrill. She married Theodore Hermanson May 1, 1938. He died Oct. 30, 1994.

She is survived by three sons, Walter (Barb) Hermanson, of Story City, Stephen (Becky) Hermanson, of Las Vegas, and Roger (Nancy) Hermanson, of Story City; two daughters, Sharon (Denny) Sills, of Story City, and Ruth Schlafke, of Jewell; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Daniel Terrill; and one sister, Pluma Terrill.

Memorials may be made to St. Petri Lutheran Church or Bethany Manor.

Soderstrum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
